No Call Back From Claims Handler, Call Us

If your workers’ compensation claims handler / adjuster does not return your calls, you should contact us.  A recent survey of workers’ compensation companies indicates that the industry’s older claims management systems are not improving communication with injured workers.  Almost half of workers’ compensation claims management companies in 2020 reported they had no implementation of tools to improve injured worker communication.  Given the COVID-19 pandemic with multiple communication impediments, a flexible injured worker experience strategy was needed but few were implemented.  In Wisconsin the Administrative Code indicates the first payment of benefits should be made within 14 days of the injury.  If that has not or did not happen, contact with an attorney is imperative.  The insurance company must show that they have a fairly debatable basis for the denial of said benefits.  Once an attorney’s involvement is noted in a claim, workers’ compensation claims adjusters and their attorneys tend to respond quickly.
